What Must I Do To Be Saved?
BELIEVE "He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him." (John 3:36) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on Me has everlasting life." (John 6:47)
CONFESS YOUR SIN AND TURN FROM SIN "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) Jesus said, "Go now and leave your life of sin." John 8:11
CONFESS AND BELIEVE "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation..." (Romans 10:9-11)
CONTINUE IN YOUR FAITH "Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ's Physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation - if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel." Colossians 1:21-23a
MAKE JESUS CHRIST LORD OF YOUR LIFE Jesus has forgiven you of your sins and freed you from slavery to sin. Romans 6:18 says, "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness." You will still be tempted to sin, but now you have the power of God to resist sin.
PRAY A PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS
Heavenly Father, I confess my need of You. Thank You for loving me enough to send Your only Son into this world for me. Lord Jesus Christ, I believe in my heart that you are the Son of God, that You were crucified and died for me and that on the third day You rose from the dead victorious over sin, death, and hell. I realize that I was born a sinner and I need a Savior. I confess that I have sinned and gone my own way. Please forgive me and cleanse me for all my sin through the Blood of Jesus. By a decision of my will I now repent from my sin. I turn around and commit myself to go Your way. Receive me, I pray, in the Name of Jesus. I give You all that I am, and I receive all that You are. From now on You are Lord of my life. Please give me the grace I need to live for You. Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for saving me and giving me a new life. Thank You that I can live victoriously in this life and someday I will be with You in heaven for eternity. In Jesus' Name, AMEN.
